Sit in the town and recruit and from here on instead of chasing eshin (you do not want to get caught in the open by snikitch as he will get an ambush on you after force marching multiple stacks to support). Now fast march to your province closest to eshin you should make it barely before the first 3 - 4 stacks show up. Once you get lightning strike offer the dwarves peace they should accept and will give you some cash, leaving them alive is important because they will hold out for some turns as a buffer vs further skaven enemies and in my second playthrough Grimgor who was spamming stacks faster than skaven. Your dwarf enemies should now have 1 town left, go and sack it and keep sacking it until you get lightning strike (again if auto won't give you a decisive victory then manually fight it.) Manually fight these battles to ensure it is always at least a decisive victory and maximize your exp. Prioritize growth and garrison buidlings focusing on getting the province closest to eshin that isn't your capital to tier 3 walls as fast as possible. Second play through and I am well past early game, basically what I did was capture the remaining provinces in your territory ASAP I think it takes 3-5 turns can't remember but you can do it very fast. Okay so I got wiped very early in my first campaign by eshin also, snikitchs ambush mechanic was a pain.

Its honestly getting to the point I'm seriously tempted to outright use a cheat mod just so i can get rid of Eshin and play this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ campaign properly. So yeah, how do you deal with Imrik's early game? Later on he seems pretty good, but getting there looks to be impossible when Eshin can walk through walls and create 20 stacks in two turns. If this is how they fare against early game Skaven, what are they supposed to do against stuff like Dark Elves and Dwarfs? Anti-Infantry doesn't seem very good when said cavalry isn't supposed to stay in prolonged combat. Every time I charge them, they just bounce off, get swarmed, and die in droves. Did they get a nerf or something lately? I havent played High Elves for a while, but I remember Dragon Princes being at least semi-competent shock cavalry. The armor piercing night runners tear everything I have to shreds, and the Dragon Princes do absolutely nothing. And while all this happens, Im not getting any income whatsoever.

Every time I destroy a 20 stack, they have two more on the other side of the province I'm currently on, either raiding, taking a settlement, or both. Imrik doesn't have anything like that, and I'm constantly stuck trying to stop them from taking my settlements, only to use the underway to move around and immediately take another one. They move far faster than i ever could with the underway, and the chance of intercepting is so pathetic that it seems save scumming is the only way to deal with it. They declare war on me instantly (I've tested three campaigns, the second they meet my faction, they declare war, every single time), and I'm completely helpless against them. However.the moment I even see Eshin on the map, everything hits a brick wall. Use the early game dragon princes with the usual high elf spearmen/archers, do those dragon events when you get them, spam the hell out of that mage you start off with.
